Associate Professor Alexander Eisenschmidt is a participant in Collective City, the 2019 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. Eisenschmidt has contributed a work titled the “City of Urban Inventions,” a drawing that combines, hybridizes, and extrapolates on thousands of urban inventions from across the globe. Together, these micro urbanisms project a terrain entirely composed of urban intelligences, which visitors can navigate through an app programmed to complement the drawing.
The Seoul Biennale opened on September 7 and remains on view through November 10.
