Architects love to be right. Yet, designs that explore living with the glitches, snags, and unintended consequences of our ambitions might better serve not only our disciplines but also the broader world in which we live.
Sean Lally is the host of the Night White Skies program and author of ‘The Air from Other Planets: A Brief History of Architecture to Come’ (Lars Müller). Lally is the recipient of the Prince Charitable Trusts Rome Prize in landscape architecture from the American Academy in Rome and Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
